I got inspired by what you wrote! But, I love nuts, fruits, and vegetables. I almost never eat white bread. I hate sweets so my sugar intake is quite low. However what I have hard time controlling is the speed of eating. I eat seem to eat really fast and I sometimes even realize that while I'm eating. I don't eat for the sake of enjoying food but I just unconsciously eat what's in front of me. How would I be more conscious about what I'm having and slow down speed?
Oh, that’s another thing I’ve learnt - now I am the slowest consumer in my family. As I was scared to eat, I wanted to do this as seldom as possible. When you eat slowely 1) you don’t eat that much and 2) you don’t feel hungry that fast again. I loved food but was afraid of it. So every time when I had to have something, I was trying to get the maximum of the meal. You have a few options. If you have time, try cooking something extra-ordinary. You will know how much time you have spent preparing it and if it’s tasty, you will want to enjoy the meal for as long as possible. You can also give up on one of your favorite dishes i.e for one week. At the end of that time you will crave it so much that you’ll want the act of eating to last forever :) You’ll eat slower then. I know it’s strange but can work, actually :D Take your time. Never eat in a hurry. Never. I also never eat while I’m standing. Even when I’m eating an apple and I’m with my friends I ask them to sit with me untill I finish.
Hi, I'm currently 68kg 168cm just like you were. I gained 10kg when I was living abroad and I lost all of them just naturally but gained 12kg when I started living alone. I miss having confidence and I hate the fact that I look bad in any clothes that I wear. And the thing I hate the most is that people think you eat so much and you don't work out at all. I actually work out everyday and I love being active. Anyways, can you be more specific on how you lost your weight?
I hate this feeling, too. You know, after all I’ve been through I don’t even like to eat in front of anyone except for my family and best friend. Well, I cut down on …meals. I’ve been eating so few things and working out so much that my daily intake was about 300kcals. This is the worst way you can do your weightloss. Idk why but when I started eating kind of normally after I was diagnosed with my ED and family started to control me more, I did not gain any weight. Nevertheless, there are good things I did during this whole thing: 1) I started loving working out. Cycling, running, pilates - it’s so much fun! 2) I don’t eat sweets anymore. I have a lot of them at home, I really do. But I do not crave them and sometimes my family even pushes me to eat them, which I don’t like. 3) I don’t eat white bread at all. The last time I’ve eaten a slice of white bread was more than a year ago. I also do not eat white pasta so often - usually the whole wheat one. 4) I don’t eat cereals from the brands such as Nestle. No Cookie Crisps, Nesquiks, Froot Loops. Just muesli with nuts/dried fruit. 5) NUTS! I really love them now. They are a great snack. Trust me. They fill you up and I’ve heard that people who eat nuts are more likely to lose weight. 6) I eat out very rarely. 7) I never take any snacks while at the cinema. 8) Watch out the dips that are served in restaurants! They are usually very high in calories. 9) Drink green tea. If you have any other questions, feel free to write :))
